In the lower-left corner of the Windows desktop, right click the Start icon, and then click Run.
The Run dialog box appears. -
In the text box to the right of Open, type mmc.

Click OK.
The Console Root window appears. -
On the File menu, click Add/Remove Snap-in.
The Add or Remove Snap-ins dialog box appears. -
In the Available snap-ins list box, click Computer Management, and then click Add.
The Computer Management dialog box appears. -
Verify that Local Computer (the computer this console is running on) is selected, and then click Finish.

In the Available snap-ins list box, click Group Policy Object Editor, and then click Add.
The Select Group Policy Object dialog box appears. -
Verify that Local Computer is selected in the Group Policy Object box, and then click Finish.

In the Available snap-ins list box, click Certificates, and then click Add.
The Certificates snap-in dialog box appears. -
Select Computer Account, and then click Next.

Verify that (the computer this console is running on) is selected, and then click Finish.

In the Available snap-ins list box, click IP Security Monitor, and then click Add.
We will use the IP Security Monitor tool to monitor the successful security connections the IPsec policy creates. -
Click OK.

On the File menu, click Save.
The Save dialog box appears. -
In the File Name box, enter a name for your MMC console (for example, MMC Console or IPsec MMC Console).

In the Save In box, select where to save your MMC console.
