Download and Install Axon Agents
Only Administrators can take this action.
Download the Agent Profile Install Package
After an Agent Profile has been created, you are given the option to download the Agent Package and install new Agents associated with the created profile. For more information on creating Agent Profiles, see Axon Agent Profiles.
The Agent Package can also be downloaded by opening the three-dot menu to the left of the newly created Agent Profile in the Agents window and selecting Download Agent Package.
Note that if the operating system for the Agent Profile is Linux, you will get a pop-up to select which version of Linux you would like an installer for.
The installer will be downloaded and added to your local Downloads folder, or your configured location for web downloads.
Axon Agent In-Place Upgrade
As of Axon Agent 1.2.4, installing a new version of the Axon Agent “over the top” of an existing install is supported on both Windows and Linux operating systems.
This type of installation only works when upgrading to a newer Axon Agent version. For example, an existing 1.2.4 installation can have a 2.0.0 Agent installed over the top without requiring an uninstall first.
However, installing the same Axon Agent version over the top of itself is currently unsupported. For example, if a version 2.0.0 agent is attached to AgentProfile1, and you were to install a 2.0.0 agent attached to AgentProfile2 over the top, the agent will not be re-enrolled and will remain attached to AgentProfile1.
