Change Your Password and User Data

This section describes how you can change your own password and user data (or for the user currently logged in to NetMon).

1. Open the NetMon Web Management interface.

2. On the top navigation bar, click Configuration, and then click the User tab.

   

   This panel also provides an API key at the top of the page, which allows you to query NetMon remotely. See Web API.
   

   If you click New Api Key, NetMon generates a new API key, invalidating the current key and disabling access from any applications that are using it.
3. You can change the following:
   • Update User Data for admin. Change your name and email address, and then click Update.
   • Change Password for admin. Enter your current password and new password in the last two fields, and then click Update. The password length must meet the minimum character setting under Update Client Security Settings. Special characters are allowed, but they are not required.
