Syslog - Tipping Point IPS

TippingPoint IPS is an in-line device that is inserted seamlessly and transparently into the network. As packets pass through the IPS, they are fully inspected to determine whether they are legitimate or malicious.

Prerequisites

Identify the LogRhythm System Monitor Agent that will be used for log collection.

Configure TippingPoint IPS

The supported log format for TippingPoint is the Tab Delimited SMS 2.0/2.1 Syslog Format.

Configure LogRhythm for Tipping Point IPS

No additional changes are necessary to configure LogRhythm to work with a TippingPoint IPS.
