Single Metric Widget

The single metric widget can be used to display aggregation information about a single Axon metric directly on the Dashboard. These aggregations are updated on the widget every time the Dashboard is refreshed.

Configure a Single Metric Widget

When configuring the single metric widget type, the following specifications are available:

Option

Description

Saved Search(Optional.) Open the drop-list and select a Saved Search to use as the focus of the single metric widget.
Primary Metric

Select a primary metric to display in the single metric widget.

Click in the field and scroll or search to find a metric.

Display blank values

Check this option to include blank values in the widget results. By default, blank values are not displayed in widget results.

This option is also available for the Submetric.

Aggregation Function

Select the primary aggregation function to display in the single metric widget.

The examples below assume the "Raw Message Size" has been selected as the Primary Metric.

Average

Select to display the average as the primary aggregate in the widget.

For example, the average size of all raw messages received.

Max

Select to display the maximum as the primary aggregate in the widget.

For example, the size of the biggest raw message received.

Min

Select to display the minimum as the primary aggregate in the widget.

For example, the size of the smallest raw message received.

Sum

Select to display the sum as the primary aggregate in the widget.

For example, the sum total of all raw messages received.

Count

This option removes the primary metric from the configuration, and simply displays a count of the number of logs received by Axon over the Dashboard's selected timeframe.

Optionally, select Trend to display a sparkline representing the number of logs received over time.

Standard Deviation

Select to display the standard deviation (how dispersed the data is in relation to the mean) as the primary aggregate in the widget.

For example, the standard deviation of raw messages received (how much variation there is between the sizes of these messages).

Additional AggregationsOptionally, check any of the functions described above to display those aggregations in the widget as well, but smaller than the Aggregation Function selected.
Title

Enter a title for the widget. 

The title is auto-generated if this field is left blank.

To finish customizing the widget, click Apply.
