Modify Common Events

 You must be logged in as an Administrator to take this action.

1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
2. On the Tools menu, click Knowledge, and then click Common Event Manager.
   The Common Event Manager appears.

3. From the list on the left, select a Classification Filter.

4. In the list that appears on the right, right-click the Common Event you want, and then click Properties.

5. Modify any of the properties on either tab.

   

   The Name for system-generated Common Events cannot be changed.

   

   The AIE Common Event checkbox allows you to assign a common event to an AIE rule. By assigning common events to AIE rules, the correct MITRE tactic can be associated with alarms. Additionally, the common event field can be reused for reporting and filtering.

   Selecting the AIE Common Event box automatically adds the prefix AIE to the name of the common event, which cannot be removed.

6. Click OK.
