Remove a Data Processor from a DP Pool

You must be logged in as an Administrator to take this action.

  1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
  2. Click the Data Processor tab.
The Data Processors grid includes the DP Pool Name column showing which DP Pool a Data Processor is assigned to.

A Data Processor can be assigned to only one DP pool.

  3. Select the Action check the box for the Data Processor you want to remove from a DP pool.
  4. Right-click the checked Data Processor, and then click Properties.
The Data Processor Properties window appears.
  5. In the General tab, click the Data Processor Pool Name drop-list, and select Unassigned.

If a DP pool contains only one Data Processor, and you try to remove it, you will receive the following error message:

DP Pool XXX requires at least one associated Data Processor because the pool is in use by one or more System Monitors. To proceed with removing the selected Data Processors from the pool, please add another Data Processor to the pool first or disassociate all System Monitors assigned to DP Pool XXX.

  6. Click Apply, and then click OK.
The Data Processor is successfully removed to the DP pool.

After removing a Data Processor from a DP pool, service requests are sent to all agents associated with that DP pool to update the configuration.
