Add a Data Processor

Only Global Admins or Restricted Admins with elevated View and Manage privileges can take this action.

Any time you add a new Data Processor to an existing LogRhythm deployment, you must rerun the LogRhythm Infrastructure Installer for the new component to be able to communicate.

Before you can add a Data Processor, you must add a Host record for the system where the Data Processor resides. For systems that host a Data Processor and an Agent, we recommend using the Windows Host Wizard to create the Host, Agent, and Log Source records, and make appropriate assignments. You may also Add a Host Record manually.

1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
2. Click the Data Processors tab.
3. On the File menu, click New.
   The Data Processor Properties window appears.

4. Configure the properties of the Data Processor. Most importantly, assign a host record, and specify an IP address and name. For more information on the property fields, see Modify Data Processor Basic Properties.

5. Click OK to save.
