Retire Host Records

Hosts Records that are linked to active Log Sources cannot be retired until those Log Sources are retired. For more information on retiring Log Sources, see Retire or Activate Log Sources.

  1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
  2. Select the Entities tab.
  3. In the Entities pane, select the entity where the Hosts are assigned.
  4. In the Entity Hosts grid, select the Action check boxes of all Hosts you want to retire.
  5. Right-click inside the grid, click Actions, and then click Retire.
The Confirm Host Retirement message appears.

If you try to retire a Host Record that is referenced by one or more active Log Sources, a message such as the following appears: Before you can retire the Host Record, you must first retire the Log Sources that reference it. For more information on retiring Log Sources, see Retire or Activate Log Sources.

  6. Click Yes.
    The Host Record is retired.
