Filters—Information

This page uses adding filters to an Alarm Rule as an example. The names of windows and setting options vary slightly depending on where you are creating or modifying a filter.

On the Information tab of the Filter Editor you are required to enter a name for the alarm rule, and you have the option of entering additional information.

To configure name and description information

1. Type a name in the Alarm Rule Name field.
2. Click the ellipsis [...] button at the end of the Alarm Rule Group field.
   The Alarm Rule Group Assignment window appears.
3. Type a name in the Assign New Alarm Rule Group or select an existing Alarm Rule Group.
4. Click OK.
5. (Optional) Type a brief description.
   The Description column appears in the Alarm Rules tab.
6. (Optional) Type any other relevant information in Additional Details.
7. Click OK.
