Case Associations

Basic Case Association allows you to link cases together when duplicate cases are accidentally created or when cases are determined to be related to the same threat. Case associations are bi-directional. When a case is associated with another case, it is displayed in the Associated Cases section of both cases.

Case associations can be viewed and managed from both the Current Case panel and the Case Details view.

Restricted users can only view the cases that they either own or have been assigned to as collaborators. The cases they are working on may occasionally be associated with cases that they cannot view. When this occurs, a note containing the IDs of the blocked cases is displayed to the restricted users in the Associated Cases section. If a restricted user needs to request access to blocked cases, he or she can reference them by their ID numbers.
