Use the Platform Manager Configuration Manager

Use the Platform Manager Configuration Manager on the local PM appliance or server to configure the connection to the Platform Manager, manage file locations for HA deployments, configure service properties, or view the ARM log files.

  1. Start the Platform Manager Configuration Manager from the Start Menu or the Apps screen.
  2. On the Alarming and Response Manager tab, do the following:
    1. In the Server box, enter the static IP address of the Platform Manager.

If you need to change this IP address after initial configuration, stop all LogRhythm services before doing so. Leaving them running generates deployment miscommunication, error logs, and diagnostic alarms. Also ensure that your DNS service reflects the change.

    2. The Database box should be set to LogRhythmEMDB.
    3. Change any other settings you want.
    4. Enter the appropriate login credentials.
    5. If you have a High Availability (HA) deployment, you can modify the following:
      • Configuration File Parent Directory
      • State File Parent Directory
    6. Ensure you understand the impacts before making changes. For more information, see the High Availability documentation on the LogRhythm Community.
    7. Click Apply.
  3. Click the Windows Service tab.
    1. Select a Startup Type:
      • Automatic
      • Manual (default)
      • Disabled
    2. Select a Log On method:
      • Local System Account (default)
      • This Account / Password
    3. In the Job Manager section, click Start, and then select Start (or restart) the service when the configuration is saved in the Alarming and Response Manager section if you would like the services to start after saving the changes.
  4. On the Log File tab, click Refresh to see the log file.
Logs are only shown if the service has been started.
