Use Saved AI Engine Filters

Create Saved Filters for AI Engine Rule Blocks

Only Global Admins or Restricted Admins with elevated View and Manage privileges can take this action.

  1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Administration, and then click Filter Manager.
  3. Click File, and then click New.
    The Composite Filter Dialog box appears.
  4. Create your filter. For more information on creating a filter, see Create Alarm Rules.
  5. To return to the Filter Manager grid, click Save.
  6. Select a filter, use the options on the File and Edit menus to make any other changes to saved filters, and then click Close.

Any changes you make to a filter in the Filter Manager are applied everywhere that saved filter is used.

Add Saved Filters to AI Engine Rule Blocks

Saved AI Engine Rule Block filters can be added on the Primary Criteria, Include Filters, and Exclude Filters tabs. Filters are processed in the following order: DateTime, Primary, Include, Exclude.

  1. Create an AI Engine Rule Block.
  2. On the Primary Criteria, Include Filters, or Exclude Filters tab, click Add Saved Filter.
  3. Select the filter you want to use, and then click OK.

After you add a saved filter to an AI Engine Rule Block, the Edit option in the Wizard is grayed out. You cannot change a saved filter from the AI Engine Rule Wizard. To make changes, you must exit the Wizard and return to the Filter Manager.

Modify Saved AI Engine Filters

Only Global Admins or Restricted Admins with elevated View and Manage privileges can take this action.

Saved AI Engine filters cannot be modified from within the AI Engine Rule Block Wizard. They can only be modified in the Filter Manager so that the changes are applied everywhere the filter is used.

  1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
  2. On the Tools menu, click Administration, and then click Filter Manager.
  3. Double-click the saved filter you want to modify.
  4. Make your changes, and then click Save.

Any changes you make to a filter in the Filter Manager are applied everywhere that saved filter is used.
