Manually Add Network Records

You must be logged in as an Administrator to take this action.

To manually add a new network record to an entity:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Deployment Manager.
  2. Click the Entities tab.
  3. In the Entity list on the left, select the Entity where the network should be assigned.
  4. Right-click anywhere in the Entity Networks pane and select New Network.

  5. Enter the basic information about the network. Network Risk Level represents the amount of risk developed if the network were to become compromised or the subject of some other issue. 0 None (no risk) means no risk is involved in the loss of this network. 9 High-High (highest risk) means the most risk will be incurred if an issue arises. This is relevant when this network is the impacted network, the target, or is acted upon by external forces.

  6. Click the Threat Level tab and enter the Threat Level to designate the degree of threat when the network is the origin of actions. 1 Low-Low (lowest threat) means that actions originating from this network are of little cause for alarm or are possibly commonplace. 9 High-High (highest threat) means that this network should not be the source of outgoing actions and that there is the greatest threat to security if such events are observed.
  7. Click the Additional Details tab and enter any other information about this network.
  8. Click OK.
